Levi's 501 Interpretation event - I was there!

I am glad that my blog is picking up some life again after quite an on-off hiatus!
*Dedicated blogger mode turned on*

With thanks to OMY.sg and Levi's for the invitation, The SG Complain Queen aka Your Truly had the opportunity to attend Levi's 501 Interpretation event on 20th April 2013.
I was so excited!

Must strike a pose to keep as momento:

I don't know why but I still look like a shorty here despite the heels =_= Am I getting shorter day by day?

Well..Speaking of Levi's, what is the first thing that comes to your mind?
Jeans? Tee-shirts?
I remembered the good old days when everyone I knew seemed to own a pair of Levi's jeans! It is no surprise - It holds such a seminal place in fashion history, and over the last 140 years!

And of course Levi's style is still ongoing in a versatile way. Jeans are not their only forte, but other unisex apparels as well.

It sure was a refreshing experience to be able to witness the different style that Levi's can bring to the consumer through the exclusive event.
(& not to mention that we were given the perks of being a blogger as well with an exclusive backstage invitation to meet and take photos with the invited celebrities! That was considered a bonus. Haha. Just scroll down for the photo!)

There you have it, the invited celebrities include: Felicia Chin, Tosh Zhang, Ian Fang and Xu Ya Hui.
Were any of you readers there at the event as well? I heard screaming fans!

Before the event commenced, I started going around with my camera and taking photos.

Wow, Ya Hui's fans looked really impressive - with their red fanclub tee and everything.
I would be so touched if they are my fans! HAHAHA. Just kidding.

The goodie bag that was given to us before the event.
It contained Levi's vouchers! =D

Soon, we were led backstage to where the celebrities were.
I took this random shot while standing in line near backstage.

 Ah, here's me!
There were quite a number of cameras aiming in my direction - So I wasn't sure which camera to look at. It turned out that all of us looked into the same camera - and it wasn't mine. LOL.
Felicia Chin was so sporting to strike my classic "Peace" sign.
I looked kinda' slouchy in the photo, though. #dontlike

 FM93.3 deejay, Ms Ivy Tan.

The celebrities were invited onstage to do a fashion catwalk.. And starting with..
Felicia Chin!
(Can you believe that she actually designed her own overall outfit look? The top that she was wearing was supposed to be a men's blouse- and she transformed it into her own style! It goes pretty well with the Levi's 501 jeans she was wearing as well.)

Ian Fang's turn:

Xu Ya Hui:
(I am totally digging that black jacket she had on her! That is so totally my style)

And last but not least, we have Tosh Zhang.
(There were LOUD screams when he made his appearance. I guess there were alot of his supporting fans here. Ah Boys to Men, anyone??)

The celebs standing together to strike a pose:
(ALL of them are dressed in their favorite Levi's from head to toe! How do you like their style? I LIKE!)

A few random photos that I took during their stage appearance. You will love me if you are a fan of theirs!

Giving her insights about D-I-Y-ing a simple outfit:

Is it me, or does Tosh always seem to have this classic expression?

Felicia Chin giving an introduction about her inspired Levi's 501 design that she had on.

That's good old Tosh - being requested to show some dance moves
... Which eventually made the fans go crazy:

Getting ready to move it:

Here goes:
(Yes, he can really move!)

One of the highlights of the event was the 4 different "8 Days Shirtless Guys" that were invited onstage. Each celebrity had to choose their own "shirtless guy" (which they already did so beforehand) and dress them up with the range of Levi's apparels provided.

We would get the chance to be involved in the activity after that by casting our votes using this sticker:
(Yes, filling up this sticker would grant us a chance to win the apparels that were worn on the model too. Awesome, huh?? Levi's products are not cheap, leh!! Whoever won that was a really lucky chap.)

As the position I was sitting at didn't really have a good eye view of the front, I was unable to take decent shots of the proper process. My apologies!
But no worries, I was busy spamming my camera in all the ways I could. You will still get to see handsome photos while you read on. I promise!

The first model (Felicia Chin's chosen model, to be precise) that came up onstage.
I was pleasantly surprised because he is a friend (cum ex-colleague) of mine, Hao Ran.
What a coincidence indeed!

A few photos of him and Felicia onstage during the show:
I like that orangey cardigan that Felicia had chosen for him. Good taste!

Cat-walking confidently onstage:

Ya Hui's model, that somehow earned the most screams due to his dashing looks.
She seemed to like him alot as she couldn't stop gushing over how handsome he looked! Hahaha.
Honestly, I couldn't have agreed more.

She was VERY shy - and claimed that she couldn't stand looking at him cos of his overwhelming dashing looks. LOL.

A look at the guy models in general with their celebrities:

And guess where our votes went to?
There you have it.

They were in the midst of counting the votes while I took this picture.

And I took a photo of Hao Ran when he spotted me. Oops.
But damn, my camera focused on the wrong target. It seemed to focus on this spectacle guy while blurring out Hao Ran in the background. What the heck.

Guess who had the most number of votes?

Haha - bingo (if you guessed it right):
It was Ya Hui's model, Nick!
(The lucky fan managed to win the apparels back~ Jealous.. Hmph)

The event ended with the happy Levi's family taking a group photo with the celebs onstage.
Actually, I was just being an extra and took this shot for fun. Haha, it was a really huge group!
